Things to do this summer in Dubai 2024
Dubai summers are here! If you’ve experienced them, you know they can turn even the most resilient of us into human muffins. It got me thinking about what are the things that I could do this summer. To save my readers the trouble of surfing, I piled up a list of thrills to stay cool and still have fun acivities thia summer.
Let’s face it, when the temperatures start climbing and people start posting reels on instagram frying eggs on the side walk, there’s only one thing on our minds: escaping the heat. And what better way to do that than by diving headfirst into some seriously cool indoor adventures that are here in the beautiful city of Dubai.
Easy to get to and located in the Mall of Emirates whether you commute by metro (this place is connected to the mall which means you can avoid the sun even from the metro like a vampire or drive by car with plenty of car parking inside the mall. Close to the virgin store or Hamleys whatever is your landmark, you step through a magical portal and find yourself surrounded by pristine, powdery snow. Yes, it’s real, and it’s spectacular. Ski Dubai is the ultimate oasis in the desert, where you can hit the slopes, build snowmen, and even hang out with some seriously chill penguins. It’s like a winter wonderland in the middle of a scorching summer – talk about a chilling vibes in the summer, pun intended.
The heat made me think of escaping to another planet. Sadly pluto the ice dwarf is no longer classified as one. I though of the next best thing how about another universe instead. Ever dreamed of exploring the vast reaches of the universe, venturing beyond the stars to discover new worlds and galaxies? Well, strap in, because AYA Universe is about to take you on the ride of a lifetime. This sanctuary, hidden among the cosmos, beckons us to wander through its vibrant chambers, to lose ourselves in the beauty of the unknown. It’s the ultimate cosmic getaway, offering a respite from the sweltering summer heat right here on Earth and the price is very affordable.
All this rush and thrill to have fun reminded me of my scholl days and exploring theme parks with the family. On that not why not a theme park however the theme park that I went to when I was young was an outdoor one which lets face it I would only go if it was water based. That when I though of IMG Worlds of Adventure a complete indoor thrill with its four epic zones, including Marvel, Cartoon Network, and The Lost Valley, this indoor theme park is a mecca for adrenaline junkies and fun-seekers alike. From heart-pounding rides to jaw dropping scares, there’s never a dull moment at IMG Worlds with tons of merchandise to take home. I got this great Iron Man blazer from there and I still wear it to work making me feel like tony stark and still bring out the fun in me. Don’t forget to grab a bite at one of the themed restaurants – you’ll need the energy to fuel your adventure!
Now I know this does not fall under Dubai but its not that far especially since I spoke about Marvel but if Marvel is not your drift then I highly recommend a DC world. Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi invites you to step into the vibrant, action-packed worlds of your favorite animated characters. From Gotham City to Dynamite Gulch, there’s excitement around every corner at this indoor theme park. So grab your cape and mask, because adventure awaits!
Explore all you favorite Looney tunes and DC heroes from Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman to Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo and The Flintstones. This place has 29+ nail bitting rides, family-friendly experiences.
Well lets face it the summer is too hot for dessert safaris, hot air ballons and ski dives but what if I told you there was way you could feel the wind in your hair, the free fall experience without the sun. iFly Dubai has you covered.
