Mark Zuckerberg on Apple Vison Pro the Difference is not Apples and Oranges but Meta
Have you heard the latest juicy tech gossip? It’s hotter than a freshly ground cup of coffee at your vending machine in your office pantry, let’s talk about the epic showdown between two tech titans Apple and Meta (formerly known as Facebook).
Mark Zuckerberg, the mastermind behind Meta, took a jab in the virtual ring at Apple’s latest creation, the Vision Pro headset. (If you don’t know much about it check out my article on – Everything you need to know about Apple Vision Pro before buying Meanwhile, Elon Musk, our favorite real-life Tony Stark, couldn’t resist poking fun at the price tag.
Apple, in classic style, unveiled its Vision Pro at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) for a whopping $3,499. That’s enough to make your wallet cringe! But hold onto your seats because the fun has only just begun.
Zuckerberg, never one to shy away from a tech tussle, threw some blue light at Apple, claiming their headset offers no magical solutions, complaining apart from the high resolution, lacking brightness, and heavy on the head to name a few. Then, to add fuel to the fire, Meta’s CTO, Andrew Bosworth, tagged himself in the match stepping into the ring with his own take on the Vision Pro. He couldn’t help but point out its weight issues, comparing it unfavorably to Meta’s sleek and lightweight Quest 3.
Obviously, Elon Musk isn’t going to turn the other cheek, the king of memes, couldn’t resist joining the fray. He took to Twitter, sharing a hilarious meme poking fun at the Vision Pro’s hefty price tag. Leave it to Musk to turn tech drama into viral memes.
Now, let’s talk vitamin M. Meta’s Quest, priced at a cool $499, seems like a steal compared to Apple’s luxury offering. And with the Quest 3 on the horizon, Meta might just snag a hefty chunk of the market share. Zuckerberg proudly boasts that Meta has sold tens of millions of Quests already. That’s no small achievement.
But remember, folks, you can’t make the decision on Vision Pro to Meta’s headset based on what the competitor says. After all to each their own. Apple is playing in the high-end consumer electronics sandbox, while Meta is aiming for the broader market. It’s like comparing apples to, well not oranges but Meta.
Despite the drama and the memes, experts believe Apple might still have a winning hand. Not taking sides here but ‘The Vision Pro’ may come with a premium price tag, but Apple has a track record of turning heads and opening wallets. Plus, let’s not forget about their killer hardware and developer ecosystem. It’s like bringing a Ferrari to a go-kart race!
But I bet you never knew the battle between Apple and Meta is just getting started. Zuckerberg may have the upper hand on the scoreboard for now, but Apple isn’t one to back down from a challenge. It’s a game on, my friends, and the rich boy Star Wars are just a kyber crystal away from dueling it out.
While Apple’s CEO plays the ‘Whatever’ card by ignoring the review it may be considered as the best way to not shake the competition. Only time will tell which product races the other but that’s another tale, I’m curious to know how many people are Team Apple and how many are Team Meta.
